Workshop #1 Homework

CASE STUDY - TIM, TINA, LUKE & LUCY

TIM

Tim is a 12 year old boy, who has just started Year 7 at the local high school.

He has a younger brother who is 8 and a younger sister who is two.

His dad works at the local butcher shop and his mum is at home with his little sister.

Tim is a pretty happy kid, enjoys school and plays after school basketball, which he only does because his mum and dad told him he needed to play a sport.

Tim’s passion is playing the violin and his dream is to play at the Sydney Opera House one day. Tim also loves animals and wants to be a vet.

TINA

Tina is a 13 year old girl, who is in Year 8 at the local private girl’s school.

She has one sibling, an older brother in Year 9.

Tina plays netball for the school and also on the weekend with friends from her primary school.

Her mum and dad both work full time.

Tina catches the bus to and from school and helps prepare dinner as a part of her chores.

Tina wants to be a graphic designer and one day a CEO.

LUKE

Luke is a 13 year old boy, who is in Year 8 at the local high school.

He has a younger sister who is five.

Luke's parents have been separated for one year now and he goes to his dad’s every fortnight.

His dad is an accountant and his mum is a kindergarten teacher.

Luke doesn't play any sports and he loves playing Playstation with his friends.

He doesn't know what he wants to do and often feels like he has no real friends.

LUCY

Lucy is a 14 year old who is in Year 9 at the local high school.

She has an older brother who is 16, and two younger sisters six and two.

Lucy lives with her mum and doesn't see her dad at all.

Lucy likes drawing and plays tennis in summer.

She doesn't know what she wants to do when she is older and she doesn't like going to school much, as she cannot seem to find anyone like her. The kids at school are really loud and she isn't.
